WALKING GROUP
Walks Programme: 2026/27
Walks take place on the first Wednesday of every month. We move off at 10.00 am and cover about 4 miles so expect to end about 12.15.
If you would like a walk but feel 4 miles is a bit far, please contact the walk lead-er - there are often short cuts – at worst, you could walk part of the way there & then back.
Details of the forthcoming walk will be circulated by the Secretary about a week in advance. Any particular conditions will be included in the notice.
Friends, wives, husbands and partners are welcome to join us – either for the walk and for lunch afterwards, or just for lunch. Most pubs like to know how many to expect - so please inform the walk leader if you mean to come. Last minute changes of mind are perfectly acceptable.
We have had members of other Probus clubs walking with us from time to time; naturally, they are most welcome.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome too. At the discretion of the walk leader, they may be let off their leads.
Walkers are advised to wear boots.
If you would be kind enough to lead a walk - perhaps one from a pub you like or in an area you like - we would be very grateful indeed.
